The wind howled through the alley, distracting Derek as he paused to catch his breath. He didn't know if he was being followed or not anymore, but the only sound he could here was rustling paper and his own shallow gasping. Suddenly the rustling sound grew louder, and as he spun around Derek lost his breath completely. Standing directly in front of him was that same hideously contorted scarecrow, its gloved hands wrapped tightly around his throat. "Asphyxiation is a horrible way to die," it told him, shortly before Derek slipped into unconsciousness. "You were wise to fear it."

Keep in mind, FallOutBoy12 already has flavor text for most of these on the conversion cards he made for them at his site. You may wanna see what he used, to get some ideas.

The skull neither smiled nor frowned, it's jaw didn't even move, yet Yvonne was certain it was grimacing at her. Then the corse stood up from its chair, and she realized that it wasn't a dessicated corpse at all, but a man in a fearsome black mask. As she turned to run, she received a third surprise; three .45 caliber round tearing through her back and lungs. Yvonne fell, and determined that nothing would ever take her by surpise again.

Never really been a fan of him, so I wouldn't be able to base it on his appearences. As a generic murderous snake-themed villain, I might do something like this:
The garish orange and green costume looked like a Carnival outfit, but it was weeks yet before Marti Gras, and snake-head mask looked anything but festive. Moving silently on all fours, almost on his belly, he crept up on the teller and wrapped his legs around her torso before she even knew he was there. Diane reached for the silent alarm; the criminal would be too busy with Marci to worry about her right now. But Copperhead was more resourceful than she could know, and he bent his arm impossibly behind her to break her wrist. The last thing Diane saw was an impossibly distended jaw closing in around her throat.

"Yeah, I heard of him. The guy that broke the Bat. I heard they pumped him full of some synthetic steroids in South America, but he went full-tilt crazy and offed his sponsors. I don't think he ever wrestled in the States; maybe Mexico though. I ain't sayin' any more about this; I hear he doesn't take kindly to snitches, and I seen what he did to Marconi's boys."

Why would we expect Mother Nature to reward her most destructive children? After millenia of raping the lands, we should have seen this coming. Still, housing her wrath in such a seductive, capricious form shows that old Mum knows her children well, and knows how to hit us where it hurts.
