No not the machetes and gloves - but the modelling knives.
Allow me to explain ....
My FvJ pack arrived at work yesterday so I took out the cards to peruse the powers which all seemed fine.
But I didn't get a chance to look at the sculpts until I got home, and I have to say I was slightly disappointed with the two main protagonists.
Here's my appraisal of the contents
Freddy worm - I can do a bit of a paint job on him and he'll be fine.
JvF - cracking figure, captures Jason's unstoppable (but slow) movement.
However the main Fred and Jase figures I thought had rather poor sculpts - they are relatively small - Jason especially looks a bit gaunt. Freddy looks like he's peering around an invisible object which is fine if you put him behind his stove, but looks a bit silly otherwise.
The two sculpts on the FvJ figure are brilliant, and at least in my pack were far better painted.
J at his menacing best, tall, bulky & intimidating - I think that his lack of dynamic pose makes him even more movie accurate.
F looks positively evil, tipping his hat, with his bladed hand flicked out ready to disembowel his victim - The face is great too, grinning manically and the eyes have been painted really well, they seem to follow you around the room !!
Sooo - I had a bolt of inspiration - I got out my modelling knife carefully cut both figures off their bases and replaced them with the two sculpts from the FvJ double sculpt.
Then I took the two original F & J figs and positioned them on the FvJ base like this :-
Jason is standing in front of the dial (by the combat values) and freddy is directly behind him looking under his raised machete beckoning the victims with his bladed glove, his left hand looks like it's pushing Jason forward. When you look at the dial for FvJ it's very in-keeping with the powers i.e Freddy controlling Jason.
The feet looked abit strange because of the small round discs under their boots - so I got some "green Stuff" epoxy putty and modelled some textured ground to cover the gaps.
So I know have two very good and well painted sculpts to lead my forces of evil and a joint figure that looks far more dynamic than the originals ... IMHO.
With my order I also got a team of corps response and pulled a few guardians from 2 boosters so I'm going to have some hackn'slash fun over the weekend !!!

Honestly I had the samefeeling, to an extent.
I got the pack and I git it release day, and I was very excited to have them and really felt lik eit opened up a lot of fun possibilities in all of my miniatures games (As I don't play any clix games anymore)
ANd I really liked them until one day I had them under magnification, and realized that not only do none of the Freddy faces actually look like freddy, but none of the Jasons look the same.
They got the bodies really well, I feel, but some mroe effort could have been used in the faces.
But under just naked eye scrutiny they look god enough to be recognizeable, and I am pleased to have them added to my cast of miniature characters. SO much so that I created two Ash figures to do battle with them.
I agree with you that they need work, though, and as I have no intention of doing any clix gaming I will probbaly make the double figure into two separate figures.
