I think, to be honest, it looks MORE useful as a Horrorclix map than as a Heroclix map, but that may be because they're trying to reign in the play style of that game to make it more like how Horrorclix works. Have a look and see what you think. I like it. It could work as an asylum, as it's supposed to, or perhaps as an evil hospital. I know I'm gonna get one, add some blood spots and make it a regular addition to the map pool.

I like this map, it looks good. I think it needs some hindering or traps, ie poison ivy room or freeze room. Putting the victims inside the rooms would be cool.

The only thing about the map I don't like is the hindering terrain in the starting areas. Whatwere they thinking? I agree that this would be a great HrC map.

Standard rules for that is that you ignore Hindering Terrain IN starting areas on your first turn [only]. This wouldn't be the only map like that [the venue Stephens Manor had it as well].

i'll stick with the map i got from falloutboy, the WK map does not look like the proper layout for an asylum, and before the question is asked, yes i KNOW asylum layouts............
This was my first impression as well. No asylum would be laid out with this kind of floor plan. Unless perhaps it was drafted by one of the patients...
I wouldn't spend any of my hard earned $ on this.

B] It's apparently laid out according to an insert in a "classic" issue of Batman, somewhere, apparently. That's why I suggested "hospital." Look at the map for what it literally is, not for what it "represents," and it looks like a pretty good Horrorclix arena.

Ah...I assumed it was something that was included with one of the new products. Free is good. Of course you still have to pay to have it printed.

What ya gotta do is make friends with your local venue and/or Heroclix judge. This is supposed to be free for everyone who comes to the release event. There should be 16 for each venue. If there are less than 16 players, there should be extras of this map afterwards, at which point you ask your friendly shop owner/Heroclix judge if you can have one. Hopefully, if they have one and they're not a total dick they'll give you one. Hopefully.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, our LFGS no longer hosts in-store events. I haven't been to the store since. It's out of the way, not an area I would otherwise go to. With the price of gas so high, I no longer make special trips.
Mesch- if you're ever at POTA, you should ask if they have any of these around...

I too have the one Falloutboy designed, but I'll also give this one a go.
What's your thoughts on where the blood spots should be, Uber?
Just got my copy of this map on Tuesday. We decided that the obvious choice was to make all the victims patients (except one). Because all the beds are hindering terrain, this version of the map demands much more aggressive playing because you can't move the victims as close to you right away. Instead, you have to move them at half their speed and then travel a greater distance to slay them. You have to put yourself out there in the early game to get the victims. The one non-patient (well, I guess he could still be a patient) goes on the desk in the office. Bloodspots:

Credit where credit is due, you suggested this long before I even saw the map. To me, putting the victims in the rooms (specifically, the beds) seems like an extremely natural choice, like anyone and everyone would automatically think of that, but I suppose having seen your post could have lent itself to it seeming that way to me.

Sorry that was't a comment to you. I was too Uberman "endorsing" the spot picks. I forgot we needed his approval for things.

I'll talk to my Heroclix guy on Tuesday or Wednesday to see if I can score some of these maps. I can almost always get one for me, but extras might be harder to get.
I'll see what I can do.
And yes, you do always need my endorsement. Never forget it, fools.
