Converting non-WK figures to HrC
I've dabbled a touch in Dreamblade, and have a number of interesting pieces. I'd like to do something like Falloutboy did, but I don't want to take the pieces off their bases, just in case I do play DB again.
So I gotta know. Does anyone have any ideas on a conversion formula for these figures? How about D&D? Zombies and werecritters are plentiful over there. Star Wars? I wouldn't mind pitting Athena against General Grievous, or Mara Jade agaisnt Valerie Elle. LOTR? Watch the Hobbits scatter when the Great Cthulhu comes calling, and find out if Gollum can hold his own against a V Tickler!
I don't want custom cards and dials exactly; that's a whole different discussion. I'm looking for relatively quick methods to translate one game's stats into anothers, so that some level of playability might be achieved with nothing more than a calculator and a score card.

Right there with you, Kavik. Anyone who comes up with conversion scales for any of the games on his list deserves a hearty pat on the back and a for-he's-a-jolly-good-fellow. It's beyond me (my little HC-to-HrC conversion is lame at best and depressing at worst), but I'm sure we've got some calculating and shrewd minds lurking around out there that are familiar with those games enough to bridge the gaps. I can't wait to see what is created to meet the need Kavik described. Tell me you wouldn't want to throw a team of Ringwraiths against a Predator squad? Personally, I'd like to see a list of conversion charts on this site: HC to HrC (a better one than my own), MechWarrior to HrC, Star Wars to HrC, DreamBlade to HrC, LOTR to HrC, even a Deadlands to HrC when that bad boy gets released in miniature form. Now that would be a sweet resource for this site! Future contest idea, Aahz?

Hrm I'll see if there is a Mechwarrior starter at the game shop tommorow, I've read the rules and mostly get it but actually having the figs to look at would help. This is just the kind of ideas that lead to me making a program or site
