I think all we can do is wait to see whether they are going to be compatible with HrC. I see no point in speculating.
One thing I will say is that I'm not interested in any new game. Whatever they come out with needs to be 100% compatible for me to care.

I think back to when Dungeons and Dragons was rebooted and re-released as a "d20 system" RPG. I'd rather not have anything new than see them jump the shark like AD&D did years ago...

Right on. D20 was the end of my D&D buying days... now I just scrounge up out-of-print 2e and the rogue 1e book.

that would majorly suck if i'm putting out all this money to build my collection in order to be able to sit down and play with even the most experienced HrC vet and they completely changed the game. man, i can't even imagine.

If they do anything to re-release HrC, the best thing that they could do is to clarify the things that they erratta'ed later, and possibly streamline things better. No need to revamp the game.

Even if they aren't officially HrC releases, they will still hopefully serve as mod fodder, and maybe give us some new maps. I think I'll be picking these up either way, to be honest.

I'm sure they're fun to make, but I'm not a fan of custom figures. Most- if not all- of the ones I have seen are overpowered for their point cost. The maps are another matter, though. If there were new maps, and by some coincidence (or by design) they have the proper sized squares, I probably would buy them. But only if they were available sepearately, which is a long shot. I have never understood why WizKids did not sell Clix maps separately. They could have marked them up like crazy and made a ton of $$.

i love new maps. there are a few really cool ones online. just google it. u can take the file to staples on a flash drive or a disk and they can print it out beautifully and full size for about $25

Yeah, that seems to be the going rate, and part of why I am somewhat loathe to do it myself, though I'd like some fresh maps to conquer...

$25 is what I have heard as well. For me personally $25 is pretty steep... but that would be cool as hell to have some new maps. I have several saved on my PC just waiting. Maybe if i have some dough left over from my tax return...

Hmm. Maybe they will try a similar re-release of HorrorClix figs to "test the waters"...?

Yeah, I saw a pair of sets from Marvel HC in Toys R Us for Spiderman and two more with the Fantanstic Four. No mystery figure, just what you see is what you get.

Can you perhaps post a link for it?

Is the first one I could google, and it has the Freddy vs. Jason pack "Forest of Fear" pack on there as well.
